Have you ever wondered about the effervescence in Vinho Verde or where tempura came from? What was the Age of Discovery and how did it influence food culture in Portugal and abroad? We will eat, drink, and discover where food and history meet.
Your journey begins... You’re standing in a hidden Palace, just outside the city center. The view stretches in front of you: the river, the sun. As we walk together, the secret historical entanglements between the country’s history and food are revealed.
You’re no longer a visitor in this city.
You become a part of it as you get a taste of its history.

The food tour is one of the greatest ways to discover Lisbon neighbourhoods and restaurants off the beaten paths. The spots we visited during were delightful - really an awesome way to discover the variety of portuguese cuisine and try dishes you might not have tried on your own.

Danielle grew up on Curaçao, a tiny Caribbean island which Portuguese traders first discovered.
Portuguese-Austrian Maria moved from cold Austria to Lisbon for her Masters degree in Nutritional Behaviour. She has a big passion for food and its impact on the body. In the free time you will find her doing sports, studying and creating new and healthy recipes.
